The Nifty Sugar & Ethanol Index aims to track the performance of 15 securities from the FMCG sector that are directly involved in the manufacturing/production of sugar or ethanol. The weight of each security in the index is based on free float market capitalization subject to a cap of 15%.
Weight cap
At the time of rebalancing of shares/ change in index constituents/ change in investable weight factors (IWFs), the weightage of the index constituent (where applicable) is capped at 10%.
